Hello Truth,
I came from an occupation ( Police) that ran from call to call handling problems from fights ,accidents, arrests , deaths then to a person complaining about their neighbor . It was always hard to shift gear with such large swings in importance to give the minor problem the proper attention and focus. It would have been a good practice to have learned recalibration back then , so you could clear your head and be present with the new situation.
So , when we started the practice in the class I originally felt I didn’t have time to sit still. I needed to be getting stuff done. After doing the recalibration several times I began to experience a real benefit to the practice and wish I had been doing this for the last 30 years . I think being able to clear your thoughts and be fully present in the new situation is much more productive for all parties involved.
Thanks,
Dan Reeves
