Performance Journal Review

Hello Truth
Hope y’all are having a great weekend.
I am not sure I enjoyed reviewing my performance journals but it was a good exercise to see opportunities for improvement. Most of my drama revolves around me assuming the rescuer role rather coaching people to take responsibility and come up with solutions. I also find I am pretty good at the victim role when things don’t go my way.
The main triggers seem to be control whether it’s me trying to control the narrative or trying to subconsciously control their actions to meet my expectations. This was certainly illustrated this weekend while riding a jetski with my wife. I let her drive and to say I was a bit uncomfortable while clinging for dear life on the back was an understatement.
I think my role as a physician lends itself to control issues and dissecting the drama in my life leads me to examining where that shows up without me even noticing.
Best
