11/09 week Al Richey 15 Nov 2015 02:56 UTC

It's about 8:45 on Saturday night, so technically still 11/9 week. I'm at a softball tournament, watching as my daughter and her team are going at it against some really tough teams. Been here most of the afternoon, scheduled to be here till midnight… Already on my 4th cup of coffee.

My daughter's team is used to winning, pretty much without interruption, been that way for a long time now. But tonight they ran into a couple of things in the first game that caused the team to pause. They had some missteps, a couple of big ones. Nearly derailed their whole game. You could literally see their confidence was shaken.

But then the team got together and regrouped. They talked about the missteps, what went wrong, what they learned, what they needed to do differently. They moved a player or two into other positions, The players that stayed in their positions started doing things a little differently. The entire team started clearly communicating between each pitch. They checked their progress, and collectively understood their next move. They started hitting their rhythm again, their confidence was back.

They won that game (true story).

Like we will.

Let's admit it...2015's been tough, but only this Nerium team could've gotten through it.

There are about 30 work days left this year. Let's end strong. 2016 is looking like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

Al
