Wk 5 Mark Smith Long Term Practices Mark Smith 19 Mar 2015 08:03 UTC

Its funny to think about what you have done in your life that fits into these orientations toward long term practices. Here’s a few of mine.

Dabbler: For sure would be golf. Got all the gear, the membership at the club, and had all the right intentions. Got excited and it lasted a few months

Obsessive: To make up for a lack of consistent good eating habits I decided to go to the extreme and juice 4-6x times a day. Can you say burn out. Doing it again now but in moderation.

Hacker: Took an interest in learning more about social media. Got a good base of knowledge however have not pushed to learn the next level of the game.

Mastery: Two things come to mind at this level.
1) I love leadership and being able to lead. I continue to read books on leadership and look for ways to implement them into my skill set.

2) Shooting is also one of my passions. IN the process of learning to shoot at the competitive level I had to drop all my knower traits and start over. They call it getting rid of your bad habits. Yes you know the fundamentals but you need to go to the next level of understanding how to get the bullet to hit center every time. To be world class is a whole new level of mindset which is a complete reprogramming of what you see when you focus on a target.

Thanks,

Mark
