This week found me out of the country for our COA Club. I had the opportunity to meet many people at Q2 I don’t normally work with on a day to day basis. I focused on listening actively to get to know not only the Q2 person but their significant other as well. Having attended this trip before, I really wanted to get out of my usual circle of go-to teams and purposely seated myself next to strangers. By taking the time to step out of my comfort zone and listen, I learned some amazing things about Q2 family all over the US. I also recognized that there was no drama involved in engaging in this activity which helped me feel less anxious in larger social settings.

I continue to be more self aware of my actions. I also had some airport time so I started to read Ted which helped start to tie some of these techniques together. I also found I was reading slower than normal and many times the same paragraph multiple times to allow my brain to process and be in the moment.
