I completely relate. I consider myself to be fairly intentional, but the walk the talk practice has highlighted for me several different areas where I have not only failed to be as intentional as I want to be, but I actually had been excusing my lack of intentionality with all kinds of excuses. In fact, as I continue to examine my behavior relative to my values more carefully on a consistent basis, I am finding opportunities to improve in relation to almost every one of my core values. It's both humbling and encouraging at the same time, and a great opportunity for growth.
Thanks for offering your experience.
Michael

Subject: [EXT] Walk the Talk- Realization
When I was reflecting on my week and what I would include on my walk the talk log, my first reaction for the last couple of weeks, has been that I am doing everything I consider as a value to me. However, when I really challenge myself and thinking, I know I am not where I want to be in certain areas, and I know I need improvement.
Upon reflection of my 30 or so values, I am seeing areas (this week one in particular), that I had not committed myself to recently.
With that said, I am really appreciating this exercise, it is moving me in the direction I want to be heading.
Is anyone else experiencing this change?
