Hi team,

I tried this today before a meeting, I gave each person in the meeting 1 minute to answer two questions with no interruptions. The meeting was between sales and operations to status on production.

The questions were:
What do you need to get out of this meeting to do your job
What do you foresee as will the biggest obstacle to getting what you need

The first person brought up their obstacle and right way someone jumped in and I had to say they have one minute. The second person the same thing. Then the third person and I jumped in and someone had to tell me it wasn't my turn. It was so hard to shut up for me.

Anyway, I made a list of the potential challenges and after the meeting we recapped the issues and at least we all are in agreement of what the issues are and that we need to address them.

Everyone really liked being heard, even the people that typically don't talk during this meeting.

FYI, have a great week!
