Hello everyone,

I was able to watch this movie this weekend.

Right from the beginning the coach new what he was looking for in a team and each players role and stuck by his decision when questioned.

He have the team time to get to know each other, the scene where he let them flight it out to show how ridiculous they looked was inspiring to me to show that teams need to be built buying going through stages of getting to know each other. At Galerie we have signs in our meeting room showing you go from forming, to storming , to forming before you get to performing.

The coach did show vulnerability to his wife when agreeing he did not ask her about the coaching role and when he said sorry for not and now I am meant a lot to get her agreement.

The night after the Norway loss the coach tore down the team by pushing them to the breaking point, which he was clear about no team going the full game with the Russian team and that his team would not wear out before them. The goal was to make it to the end.

When the new guy came on board and the group of four stuck together saying the team was a family, I feel that is when they made it to the performing stage which was backed up when the kid hurt his knee and had a good change of not being able to help the team in the Olympics.

The coach realized that he needed to support his home team as well when he missed putting the Christmas star on the tree, but he knew he had his families support and that they didn't give up on him when they left it for him todo.

The Russia game speech was great to inspire the team, that everyone knows the Russian team is better and that 9 out of 10 times they will beat us but not tonight. That could have went either way, but I feel the team was very clear they were the under dogs and that the Russia team was by far the best in the world.

Period three pulled the team together when he said the crowd believes in you, we came from behind in every game and we can do it again.

I loved the movie and made me thing about my team and the lack of full trust that we need to have to perform at a higher level. The book and this movie made it seen a lot easier than what I expect it will be but I feel that at least I need to get us moving in the right direction by having an off site or at least going around the room to find out how my team feels about each other and me to get us to the next level.

Have a great week!!
