Dear PeleFam, I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend! In our class, I had hoped to share this news but was not able to at the time. Therefore, when Thea called on me to share my news, I did share the truth in that my role at Catapult was changing, but what I was not yet able to share was that I was accepting a NEW offer with a NEW company! Yes, I resigned from Catapult this past Monday and will embark on my new adventure with a company called Consumer Medical starting August 6th! It has been one of the toughest decisions I have had to make (which means I have a pretty amazing life if this is one of the hardest) as I have worked with many of these individuals at companies prior to Catapult. I was employee number 6 and have been there 7.5 years. Over that time, I have personally sold, built a team and added over 30 channel partners. This company has been my home, but I realized it was time to flee the nest. I am incredibly grateful to all of you (especially Cindy) as I would have never had the courage to take the leap of faith and join a new “start up.” It has been an incredible journey at Catapult and I am forever grateful to my CEO for the opportunity he gave me. I have been able to do some amazing things with the team we have built there, but I realized that it was time for me to make a change. For my physical and mental health, in particular. I also am a glutton for startups and whereas this new company has been around for years, they made some changes to their executive team a couple of years ago (all individuals I adore and admire) and are ready for significant growth. They want to build out their channel partnerships which is a strength I have developed, so I will be able to leverage my hard work at Catapult to help a new organization. Also, the current Chief Revenue Officer will be moving into a different role within the next 6-12 months and has asked me to consider taking over his position at that time, so we shall see! As I look at high performance teams, I know that I have been part of teams that have accomplished a lot over time at Catapult but not necessarily high performance ones. As I read the book 5 Dysfunctions, it became apparent that our Executive Team still struggles with conflict and accountability. I know for a fact that individuals feel attacked when someone would confront them and hold them accountable, including myself at times. The timing of this quarter’s content could not have been more appropriate as I join a new organization. The Stagen tools will help me assess the teams I will be a part of and give me clarity into how the teams are functioning. I am excited to see how I can help! I took a bit of risk announcing this to you all as we have not yet announced this to the market (doing so this week), so if we can keep this within the Pele Vault for now it would be great :) Thank you all for your support and friendship always and I look forward to starting this new chapter with y’all by my side!
