I recently had agreement with one of my teammates to prepare for one of our large customers to visit our facility. We agreed to four things that needed to be done, three were great but the last step was only somewhat completed, so I had to jump in at the last minute to get it to where it needed to be.

In hind sight,  I could tell that something wasn't right and since this was his account and I bet he felt like he was being micro managed.  Next time I need to begin with framing up the reason why I was involved versus jumping into the discussion/agreement because I felt like I was too busy at the time to explain the reason for my involvement in more detail.
