Unfortunately, my personality of being highly analytical includes a strong ability of being critical.  When it comes to employees I always strive to make it constructive, asking myself what results I want from the feedback I provide, in order to make it productive.  I have been focusing lately on keeping it simple as I am a detailed person and tend to give lots of details and cover the same issue a few different ways to make sure I get the point across.  I like the SBI approach and have been using it to provide simple but effective short feedback loops.
