I have such a love hate relationship with Committed Action.  I love using it and hate when others don't!

I think the biggest struggle I have with it is enrolling others.  People just tend to be non-committal.  Our company would definitely benefit from using committed action but it's just not natural for many.  I have received many "I'll try my best" in the past week and it's been interesting (and a little fun) to tell them I appreciate it, but then to challenge them to commit to something more specific.  Overall the results have been positive but there are always some that don't want to be held accountable.

In my coaching call with Robin, we actually talked about using it in my personal life with family as well.  We have always done the "you need to go clean your room" with our daughters, but now we are being more specific of what "clean" means and when we expect it to be completed.  We are asking the girls if they will commit to getting it done by a certain time.  Definitely moving in the right direction.
