I just have to share this...  I have a new employee that has had some struggles out of the gate.  We had a 30 day review today and I used so many different tools and topics from Stagen.

  *   we discussed TED and about being a creator instead of a victim when feeling pressure or overloaded
  *   we discussed Knower vs. Learner and how its ok to not know everything and to ask questions without a fear of being judged as not knowing something
  *   we discussed Attention Management and what might cause distraction (pop up notification on emails) for some roles, but may be important for her role since she is collecting accounts receivable and customers are responding through email.  We want her to respond promptly (i.e., strike while the iron's hot) and discussed how it will put her into a reactive mode pulling information them, but it's actually productive in the end.  We also discussed how she can choose to focus proactively on certain tasks and minimize other areas of attention.
  *   we discussed Committed Action and how noncommitted replies can cause problems and discussed the four effective responses.
  *   we even discussed the focus-energy matrix...

It was a great discussion.  Thank you Stagen, Robin, etc.!
