I really appreciated Paul's email earlier today detailing the stages of habit change. In my walk the talk review, I can tell that I am struggling with one of my core values, understanding - specifically with my wife. We are very different personalities and at times it causes frictions. Not sure if any of you are familiar with the DiSC personality assessment but I am a strong C, so I am very detailed, analytical, and critical.
The interesting thing is that when we disagree/have friction, it isn't on core value or beliefs, but usually on trivial things that are approached differently due to our personality differences. I am really focusing on FISBE to help me bridge the gap on understanding. At first I was at level 1 of the four stages of habit change but have seen in the last week or so that I have moved into level 2 and on one or two occasions, even level 3. It's (I'm) a work in progress.
