Hey Meadsters,
Happy Saturday!
I just finished reading Patrick Lencioni’s book. I saw a lot of myself in the book - both how I can apply the book’s lessons as a leader, and how I show up as a member of my team.
Over recent weeks I’ve been challenging myself to look at how I show up: do I give trust/am I trustworthy (B); do I engage in productive conflict (C); do I demonstrate commitment (A-); do I promote accountability for myself (B) and others (B-); and am I attentive to results (A).
It’s humbling to assess the areas where I need to improve, but energizing to see the opportunity.
I can across I quote I really like this week, although I wasn’t able to find much info about the Chan master that it’s attributed to:
“The three essentials of leadership are humility, clarity and courage.”
Relative to Lencioni, I seek the humility to accept what’s true, the clarity that comes
from acceptance, and the courage to step up to the plate.
