Recalibration and Gap in walk the talk Zhu, Yvonne 30 Jul 2017 22:52 UTC

In my experience in practicing recalibration, I found it particularly helpful in certain situations such as before getting on a potentially difficult call and after realizing I could be in a drama triangle. Recalibration does help focus and facilitate a positive mental switch in those situations.

A consistent gap I have had in walk the talk over the last few months is spending time with family. last Friday when I was running from one meeting to another and someone stopped me and said it is Friday, you always seem so busy, do you ever spend time with your family? It made me sad. The truth is I do, but not as much as I would like to these days. The last six months have been somewhat unusual with year end and q1 sign off, personnel issues, certain accounting issues, unique deals from various units requiring a lot of attention etc. the list goes on, and I remain hopeful that once we are fully staffed with good people, things will improve. In the mean time, I try to adjust my commitment to family to do what I can. We are going on vacation in a week and I will try to disconnect and close the gap!
