It has been two weeks since I have returned from vacation and I continue to experience many gaps. I have been unable to maintain a good level of balance in my professional and personal life. There have been many reactive situations that I have had to deal with in both.
I know that I need to formulate a different strategy to deal with these imbalances, but I am basically in survivor mode at the moment. With that said, this week I did begin to delegate certain responsibilities to my direct reports that will hopefully give me some breathing room on the professional side.
As for the personal side, do I just push through it knowing that once September arrives, things will stabilize on the personal side as my kids get back to school, my husband will have been at his new job for a month and I have more focus and energy to deal with all of the above?
And just a warning, I am lagging behind this quarter in ILP, so you might see multiple post from me today.

This week I am on vacation, and during the last few weeks as I have worked to prepare for 5 days of out of the office, I have observed many walk the talk gaps. Over the next week, I am hopeful that I can reset, recharge and return with a renewed sense of energy.
Starting later today my priorities for the next five days are:
Ave
Family- enjoy time with my extended family and give them my undivided attention and make memories that our kids can tell their kids one day.
Wellness- commit to an exercise plan that keeps me outdoors and allows me to take in my surroundings, while at the same time eating well and working in a few indulgences.
