I thought the Power of a Positive No's point on the destructive use of No is just as important as its positive uses.

I'd say the most valuable takeaway so far in my career is that the fate of transactions are driven by the ego's of the decision makers on both sides. One improperly placed "No" (whether driven by emotion, naivete, pride, etc.) can snowball into unproductive posturing and compromised deal chemistry.

The backend "Yes" to the "No" as explained in the article is (at least to me) the most important part of a positive No.
