Hi everyone-
I'm a bit behind on my posting, so like Kwesi, I might be sending a lot in short order.
When I watched 12 Angry Men, the aspect that struck me the most was the gross stereotyping. "You know how THEY are", "those people", etc. I think it struck me because I see it happening in my own life. I think we often lump whole groups of employees into a "they" category. Or, sometimes, entire restaurant staffs get assigned a collective behavior.
Beyond my own company, I see it with a lot of people older than myself when discussing millennials. You know how THEY are. Or, here's how you have to manage THEM. As if everyone under the age of 35 shares a common goal and value system.
THEY. That was my take away. And it's a word I need to start paying more attention to.
