I finished reading the book. I enjoyed it and will be using the concepts as I start my new job and join a new team. It will be interesting to assess and figure out where they are as a team. I am also reading another book called “The Phoenix Project” by Gene Kim, Kevin Behr, and George Spafford. The book is written very similarly; it reads like novel or a fable. The story is focused around the struggles of an IT department and trying to figure out if the company has what it takes to turn it around or to simply outsource it. About half way through the story, the CEO, references Lencioni and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. In efforts to begin building trust, he leads a vulnerability exercise similar to what we did today during our teleclass. It’s all about TRUST. Any of the techies in the class, if you haven’t read the book, I recommend it; It's a good and easy read.
