Hello Hemingway,
I believe the greatest insight I’ve found with performance journaling is that I view it as a tool to be proactive with any situation you’re dealing with. It allows me to spend time to think through, write down, and organize my thoughts, approach and objectives I’m trying to accomplish. The times I’ve used the tool in advance, I’ve been way better prepared to handle the situation in question and I’m able to articulate my view point better than if I dealt with it impromptu. Secondly, if I use the tool post conversation, it allows me to reflect and learn from what went well and what didn’t.
