In an effort to improve both my personal life and my work life, I have decided to start my newly implemented time blocks at home first. My wife now has a set schedule of 8 on, 6 off, at night. So on Sundays from 9-11 ( providing she doesn't stay late at work) We have breakfast together, talk, and so on. From 12-2, I take a nap with her, and then quietly sneak out. From 2-4 (Provided the Cowboys don't play at 3:150 Is my time for preparing my upcoming week. This includes going over leads, preparing for aptts, and Stagen. I also make sure that I can prevent from having to come in early on my late days. Those mornings are blocked for me making breakfast and eating with my wife.

My last boss told me a story about how when he was in sales he once had a huge argument with his wife right before he left a sales call a state or two away that he had made 100 times. To make a long story short, he got a speeding ticket, ended up loosing a long time client due to his attitude towards him that day and I'm pretty sure he stubbed his toe. He ended the story by saying "If things are not right at home, they won't be right at work."

I believe that if I can find ways to spend time with my wife and tiny dog and still put in the work I need to be successful at DS, that my focus at work will be on work. I want to commit to these personal time blocks because I feel that it will help me during my time at work.
