    We had a new employee (Lisa) start yesterday with our firm.
    Traditionally we have a Catered group lunch, so that Everyone on the team can get to know each other just a little better. Yesterday instead of just a general conversation at lunch, I wrote the three trust building questions on an easel and asked everyone to go around the room and answer the three questions.
    This spanned a tremendous amount of discussion around the similarities we have.
    For example two employees grew up within blocks of each other in a community three hours north of where they now live and work and never knew each other until now.
    Three other employees grew  up in a community two hours south of us and never knew each other until they started working at BlueRock.
    Lisa shared that her older sister died 10 years ago. Lisa commented that she was unsure whether she should share that with us or just tell us she was an only child.
    Lisa went on to say how after listening to others made her feel comfortable in sharing that piece of personal information and how glad she was that she had told us the truth.
    I am not sure what to make of all that other than to say I am happy in knowing it appears as through our employees feel comfortable in their work environment.
