One of my adult children sent to an email last night asking for a large sum of money to pursue a dream.  For reasons I won’t go into, I want to say no, but to do so in a way that minimizes relationship damage.  How to respond has been gnawing at me all day, and then it dawned on me that this is exactly the kind of situation where the Positive No would be beneficial.  As I began to formulate the YES NO YES, It became really clear just how many things I am saying Yes to, including the relationship.
