Pushing thru the of year funk Shannon Prager 01 Jan 2019 23:47 UTC
The days after Christmas and into the new year always bring me down.

I noticed it a few years ago so have been trying to figure out what causes me to feel this way.

I describe it as I’ve run a marathon all year. After the 25th I’m at the end, I begin to deflate. And I have one basically week of recovery before I have to begin running it again. But next year is harder and the goals are bigger and will stretch me again.

I don’t want to start running right away! But of course that’s not going to get me anywhere so I get sad, mad, annoyed, depressed.

The good news is I am aware of it so I’ve been listening to a lot of motivational podcast, exercising, watching my diet etc. the lows are low but I’m doing better to push through them.

This quote brings me a sense of excitement for what’s ahead. I hope you all find your some of your BEST days in 2019
