From the outside looking in I would certainly look like an achiever. I appear ambitious due to the rate of growth of my businesses. However, I feel like that is more a reflection of my work ethic more than a mindset. I don’t want for the next big “Thing” or Shiny Object.

I certainly am a primarily Blue traditional mindset  with a fairly strong red streak beat into me by my upbringing with my RAGING RED father as my mentor. I do a fairly good job splitting the two and controlling how they manifest themselves. I deal with a strong latin workforce where RED is MANDATORY to keep troops in line and maintain respect.

I feel personal tugs towards the pluralistic side of things but feel that is the pent up bleeding heart that gets neglected 14 hours a day.

But It is gratifying to exercise that part of my Brain occasionally.

I prefer an Autocratic leadership style when Im in “Battle”

I view our job sites as a battlefield where it is my job to control every aspect of every detail. Build the teams as efficiently as possible and constantly adjust as I see fit. “DON’T QUESTION ME!!”

In the office im a pussy that doesn’t want to piss anyone off cause I cant do any of their jobs.

I try my best to respect everyone’s “Position” cause people like their positions.

Using some of the ILP tools has really helped me understand and modify my interactions with some of the folks around me and they are finding me slightly useful now…… “Or just acting like it”

Subject: Mindsets

I am most definitely an Achiever – Orange-  Mindset.  When I read the sentence: they might eventually “change the rules of the game.  That is what I aspire to do.  I’m not a fan of being part of the herd.  Going along the same route as all my competitors.  Even when doing the same thing I strive for a better result.

My successes came later in life.  Had I been growing in the age of participation ribbons I could have wallpapered my room with them.  But being raised in late 70’s and 80’s, I had the one trophy and one medal.  It taught me the valuable lesson of: losing sucks.

Learning to transition that from an individualist to a plural has only come with time.

My secondary mindset is either Traditional – Blue or Pluralistic – Green:  Before I change the rules I have to know what they are and follow them.  However, I feel they can’t be stupid rules.  I don’t adhere to the strict puritan code because so many of those ideas are just so singular in their interpretation of what is acceptable.  Again, as I get older I see myself looking that way a little more.
