Hello Dickinson,

Thank you all for posting. I receive a lot from your insights. As I was thinking through the different orientations I had a hard time coming up with Obsessive tendencies in my 40’s. It seems in my 20’s and 30’s I approached everything Obsessively. Biking, working out, golf, work or anything else which ultimately led to burn out on each of them. It seems these days I am satisfied with being a Hacker on activities outside of family, personal growth and work. In other words, I’m ok at golf, ok at hunting and shooting, ok at travel and I’m ok with being just ok because those are the things I do to recharge. On my core values I would like to think I am approaching those deliberately and closer to the Mastery Approach. I am ok with the frustrations that comes along with growth and continue to challenge myself in those areas. I understand that there is no “end-game”, I’m figuring out that “playing” the game is the point.

Have a good week. Mike
