Good Evening Dickenson-
For over a year now I have been a victim of google mail. Today, however, marks the beginning of a new (possibly transformative) experience for me as I finally learned a way to create a new outcome for myself!
Over a year ago, I made the decision to go with Outlook and even purchased a Microsoft Surface to convert from my MacBook Pro. I went to import all of my emails into Outlook from Gmail and hit a serious roadblock. 8 years of emails proved to be far too cumbersome for Outlook to handle. I turned to our outsourced IT help. They worked on archiving emails, but they ultimately could not solve the problem. I thought to myself, how can this be? I don't have that many emails!
We recently hired a network analyst and I explained the issue to him. He spent over a month trying to figure out how to solve the problem. He thinks he solved the problem by recommending I use Mozilla Thunderbird, to which I remind him is not Outlook.
Finally, this past Sunday evening through the great suggestion of Katelin (the rescuer), I deleted all emails from 2010-2014...just like that the problem is solved! Why didn't I think of doing this one year ago? Oh well.
Today, my network analyst brought me my "brand new" one-year-old Microsoft Surface with Outlook up an running on it. Bye, Bye Gmail. Hello, new time block for Outlook folder creation!
