My purpose is to elevate human consciousness.

I was introduced to Rumi’s Guest House in October 2017.  It was a time of great pain, sorrow, and meanness for me.  The poem opened my mind and my heart to a new way of treating these previously unwanted emotions.  I was able to see them as visitors, invite them in and treat them honorably.  In doing so, the net effect was substantial.  By recognizing them as visitors and allowing them into my heart, they permitted me to grieve.  These visitors also helped me reflect on a much longer time period where other emotional guests such as joy, gratitude and pride had visited and spent far more time in my heart.  I shared the poem with my wife, who had it framed and placed in our bedroom.  I also shared the poem and the experience with my sister.  This Christmas she gifted me another visual reminder of the poem which I have attached.  It’s in our living room.  We are surrounded by the Persian Poem as a reminder to embrace emotions.
