I noticed how Herb brought a lot of red energy.  I used to work with a former pro hockey player and he brought a lot of autocratic energy to the workplace.  So I can see how coaching young, aggressive hockey players would require a coach to meet power with power.  To me this is a good example of a context where an autocratic style was appropriate and necessary to achieve a worthwhile result.
