Active Listener strugglers

It might sound ridiculous, but I have found practicing active listening with youngsters (<10 years old) to be a good place to practice because with "real" adult conversations I find I keep getting wrapped around the axle pretty fast.
The "simple" conversations I find are easier for me to practice with and when I accidentally bring the focus to me the kids are pretty darn happy to shift it back to themselves. ;-)
